Sustainable Design
At Luvhondo, our lodge is not just a place to stay—it's a celebration of sustainability and local craftsmanship.
Every material used in our construction has been sustainably sourced, with the help of established and newly formed businesses from the surrounding communities. The very fabric of the lodge tells a story of connection, between people, nature, and place. Much of our wood products utilised in our build have been sustainably harvested and manufactured in our own factory just outside the reserve.
Biophilic Design: A Deep Connection to Nature
Few & Far Luvhondo's design is inspired by biophilic principles, which aim to foster a deep connection between travelers and the natural world. Our lodge is thoughtfully crafted to mirror the beauty of its surroundings, using natural materials, organic shapes, and sunlight to create spaces that feel at one with nature. From the colors and textures to the calming presence of water, every detail brings you closer to the wilderness around you.
Humans have always had an inherent connection to nature and staying at Few & Far Luvhondo taps into that instinctual bond. It’s not just about being close to nature—it’s about realizing that we are part of it. Studies have shown that biophilic design can enhance well-being, improve recovery, reduce stress, and foster creativity. At Few & Far Luvhondo, this design approach ensures that your experience is not just rejuvenating for the body, but deeply nurturing for the soul.
We believe in nurturing curiosity and inspiring exploration, encouraging our guests not just to observe the wilderness, but to become part of its preservation and regeneration. Staying at Few & Far Luvhondo is more than a retreat—it's an active step toward protecting and enriching the natural world.
