Wild Waterfalls

Tracing the water's path

Here, deep in the Soutpansberg, water carves secrets into ancient quartzite. You hear it before you see it: the low, steady rush of a river echoing through a gorge that does not appear on any map.

Our guides lead you away from the established tracks. You navigate the Waterfall Trail through dense brush and towering trees, crossing streams on foot. As you push through a final thicket of indigenous forest, the canopy breaks and reveals a waterfall spilling over a sheer cliff face, shattering into a curtain of mist.

Plunge into the crystal pools

Plunge into the crystal pools

Float on your back and look up. The sandstone walls rise sharply on either side, framing a narrow slice of vivid blue sky. This is wild swimming in its purest form; it resets the nervous system and demands absolute presence. You cannot check a screen while treading water in a thousand-year-old gorge.

The luxury of time

The luxury of time

After the swim, pull yourself onto a sun-warmed boulder to dry. Our team unpacks a bush picnic right at the water’s edge. Eat slowly. Watch dragonflies skim the surface of the pool and track the movement of a lone eagle riding the thermals above the tree line.

At Few & Far Luvhondo, we don’t dictate your schedule.

If you want to spend hours floating in a hidden pool, listening to the water carve its way through the stone, the time is yours. This is what we mean by space.
