Seamless immersion
When you first see Few & Far Luvhondo emerge into view, you’d be forgiven for thinking this place wasn’t built on these mountains, but rather grew out of them. And this is by design – biophilic design, to be precise.
This nature-driven design philosophy ensures every structure blends with the landscape around it.
The six cliffside suites mimic the organic shapes of the ancient baobabs and seem to shepherd the trees that surround them. Elevated on stilts, the structures allow wind and wildlife to move freely underneath, leaving the ancient soil undisturbed. Floor-to-ceiling windows, wraparound decks and outside showers ensure that your view of the wild is always unobstructed.
Natural light, organic textures
As you admire our beautiful decks, it’s worth noting that they’re not made of imported wood or synthetic materials. They’re crafted from heat-treated eucalyptus (an invasive species that we remove from the reserve) by our own manufacturing arm, Fyred. Fyred’s innovative thermal modification process ensures the wood is exceptionally durable and weather-resistant without the use of toxic chemicals.
Local craftsmen milled and shaped this timber on-site. Natural stone from the reserve anchors the design.
Our design philosophy extends to the daily mechanics of the lodge.
By using natural light, organic textures and sustainable local resources, the lodge breathes with the mountain, offering an unfiltered connection to the wild.
