Carbon & Conservation Projects
The Soutpansberg Mountains, a biodiversity hotspot, face significant conservation challenges.
Despite their ecological importance, less than 1% of the region is formally protected. This leaves the landscape vulnerable to various threats that impact both wildlife and local communities.
Our registered Carbon Project with Verra is a bold 50-year initiative aimed at restoring the biodiversity of the Soutpansberg Mountains. This project is about more than just reducing our carbon footprint; it's about actively absorbing carbon through rewilding and replanting efforts. Year after year, we will monitor and increase the carbon sequestration of this unique ecosystem, helping to protect and regenerate it.
Few & Far Luvhondo’s conservancy spans over 20,000 hectares of untouched, diverse wilderness—home to more species of trees, insects, and butterflies than the whole of Europe and a higher density of biodiversity than the Amazon. Until now, this rich mountain range has been largely left unprotected. Our mission is to change that by putting it into a management and conservation initiative that will restore it to its former glory.
